Thin Crust Pizza
The key to any really good pizza is quality ingredients, and AJ Barile’s does not cut any corners when it comes to making their famous thin crust pies. The crust is thin and crispy with a hint of garlic on the edges… the sauce slightly sweet. We typically order our signature “Big Ed Pizza” which is topped with pepperoni, sausage, olives and mushrooms, and extra sauce; and is consistently excellent.

Stuffed Thin Crust Pizza
Stuffed Thin Crust is now featured on the Barile’s menu; This double crusted pie was developed by head cook “Paul” as a “Secret Weapon” for the State & National Pizza contests… and rapidly became a signature dish. Barile’s Stuffed Pizza boasts a little extra everything plus a double crust. The result is a crispy crusted pie with just the right portions of Chicago’s Deep Dish attitude to make us on a diet feel better about ordering additional toppings. Great for Parties; Order this only if you are really hungry.

Calzone
This is your typical Calzone, served up Chicago style with pizza sauce instead of New York style with ricotta cheese. Loaded with cheese and a crispy crust, add your choice of topping… ours is pepperoni and sausage; and you have a meal for two. We tend to order Barile’s Thin Stuffed Pizza over this, mainly for the novelty of it. Both are very good.

Lasagna
Lasagna has long been a staple item on Italian Restaurant menus, and is popular on AJ Barile’s also. This version is loaded down with extra marinara sauce, cheeses and lasagna noodles… and in my opinion can always use the addition of a little extra basil. This is a fairly generous sized serving.

Meat Ball Sandwich
AJ Barile’s Chicago Pizza Company takes their Chicago tradition seriously so this amazing sandwich features “Fontanini’s” meat balls on soft rolls from “Gonnella.” Not found often on the west coast… this meatball sandwich is a two-handed meal by itself. We always order extra marinara sauce.

Italian Beef Sandwich
Featuring imported “Fontanini” Beef on soft “Gonnella” rolls, this sandwich is served with a hot dip and has an amazing flavor. Potentially a bit on the messy side, if you enjoy lots of tender, melt in your mouth roast beef… this is your sandwich!

Real Chicago Hot Dogs
These are the real Chicago Hot Dogs direct from the “Vienna Beef” Company on their special poppy seed roll, served up with generous helpings of florescent green “Chipico Relish” and “sport peppers.” It does not get any more “Chicago” than this. We enjoy ordering these hot dogs just to see the expression on friends faces when they bite into the signature “Bright Green” relish… a real taste treat.
