Greetings Everyone… and HAPPY NEW YEAR 2008!! We Hope all of “California Online Magazine” readers enjoyed as safe and memorable New Years as we did… which you did if you were with us at the “Mill Creek Cattle Company, DIAMOND JIM’S” New Years Eve Party! The pictures can only tell a small part of the story; but if you were under a rock somewhere else (perhaps stuck in the crowd in Las Vegas) and missed out on hearing about the party, feel comforted because we were all under live “ROCK and Roll” nostalgia ourselves. The music was exceptional (did we say the band was outstanding!!) as was the buffet, venue and general service. For the money you will not beat The Mill Creek Cattle Company. If you missed it; YOU MISSED IT! For the readers of California Online Magazine we will default to our earlier reviews of the “Mill Creek Cattle Company” band nights, which you can attend ongoing without cover charge (most nights). As for the New Years Eve Party 2008... Thank You Mill Creek, it was fun!

ABOUT BAND NIGHTs at "DIAMOND JIM'S" (ongoing... you didn't miss out totally!)
“Kick it up a notch on Friday and Saturday Nights in Mill Creek Cattle Company’s “Diamond Jim’s” Saloon & Dancehall. Festivities begin at about 8:30pm and last until 12:30am as Mill Creek hosts bands for music and dancing. The motif is “Old West” but the talent completely modern and as good as it gets without cover charges…
Full dinner service and extensive bar serving all your favorite beverages... Beer, Wine and Mixed Well Drinks plus all the fun of the band and dance hall. Friday and Saturday Band Nights are popular with adults of all ages... even families with children. The pictures tell the story best!
This is the perfect party or dinner date for anyone on a budget, but still looking for great food and affordable fun.
Pork Ribs The Food is what it is all about at the Mill Creek Cattle Company; we are talking about some of the best Slow Smoked Baby Back and Saint Luis Style Pork Ribs in the entire area.
My favorite are the Baby Back Ribs, but Mill Creek herb rubs and slow smokes all their meats over orange wood logs and serves the ribs dry style, with BBQ Sauce on the side.
Brisket and Tri-Tip Once again, the real slow smoked tenderness that makes BBQ an American favorite. Heavy smoke rings attest to the hours of smoking with the perfect combination of herb and smoke taste. The meats are fork tender… moist and juicy.
Spicy Links and Pulled Pork We have not personally tasted these items, but several of our “Staff” reviewers rave about Mill Creek Cattle Company’s links and pulled pork… these are items we will discuss in a follow up review; with better pictures.
Chicken Mill Creek Cattle Company serves up an incredibly moist smoked rotisserie style chicken. Combined with Mill Creeks BBQ sauce, this chicken is a hard to beat value… and enough for two.
Steaks and Seafood We highly recommend Mill Creek’s Rib-Eye and Porterhouse Steaks... very well done and cooked to perfection! Plus, unlike many "Grills" that specialize in steaks, seafood lovers will enjoy Mill Creek's amazingly good, generous sized, broiled halibut in lemon butter; one of the best we have found outside of a specialty "Seafood Restaurant."
Desserts For dessert we can recommend the peach cobbler… or Mill Creek’s “Cattle Dump,” which is a two person sized ice-cream sundae loaded up with all the toppings.
Favorite Items For the money Mill Creek’s Baby Back ribs are exceptional, and a personal favorite. Another favorite is Mill Creek’s signature Country Fried Steak and gravy (both regular & Cajon style). |
