Not to be outdone by the area’s local restaurants The Monterey Bay Aquarium had several dining areas with chef’s creations also featured at the 16th Annual Carmel TomatoFest. Not surprising, No Sushi! Famous for its Otters and Great White Shark, The Monterey Bay Aquarium features many other exhibits plus one of the most impressive kelp beds in front of the Aquarium itself. For those more adventuresome there are Sea Kayak rentals at reasonable rates further down from the Aquarium. Our “Let’s Dine Out” group settled for enjoying the view from the viewing areas.
From the viewing deck area of The Monterey Bay Aquarium it is possible to view sea otters, star fish, seals and other native marine life in its natural habitat. The location alone makes this one of the most beautiful Aquariums to be found anywhere. Visitors will want to plan enough time to enjoy all the displays… it can easily take several hours.
Our “Let’s Dine Out” Group arrived back at The Casa Munras Hotel after enjoying the Monterey Bay Aquarium, but thoroughly ready to eat… again. We are talking about a bunch of Allan Borgen type Foodies here.
Although Allan himself missed this trip because of an unscheduled vacation of his own at the RedlandsHospital, the Let’s Dine Out Show had prearranged an incredible reception Pizza Dinner at “Pizza My Heart.” Located only minutes away from Casa Munras, our entire Let’s Dine Out Group met in the hotel lobby for a ride to the “Pizza My Heart” Pizzeria. (Makes the Best Pizza in all Monterey)
