Ethnic Restaurants Greetings Everyone; “Ethnic Restaurants” is kind of a catch all listing of dining styles that did not easily fit into the other one we have listed. “Ethnic Restaurants” does not include Thai, Chinese, Japanese or the ever popular Mongolian BBQ… these all fall into The Wright Gourmet’s “Oriental” heading (no insult)… and we are not talking about your specialty “Pennsylvania Dutch” or “Amish” bakeries; these fall under the “Dessert” headings.
Ethnic Restaurants include such styles, but not limited to, as: Armenian, Greek, Czech, Eritrean food (north-east African; The food is delicious, but beware if you don’t like chili and spices), Ethiopian, Turkish, Brazilian, Georgian restaurant (Georgia the former Russian state, not the U.S. one), Sudanese, Malaysian, Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, Korean, Filipino ( Beware of the “Balut;” it is a salty duck egg with a partially developed duck embryo inside, complete with feathers), Indian, Hungarian, ect… You may want to be prepared to get your hands a little dirty and share a plate with your friends because if you are adventurous, these restaurants may be you “cup of tea.”
This said we are always looking for your recommendations and cultural gastronomical warnings… You simply never will know what you might like until you try it (i/e raw oysters); and afterwards, please tell us about it!
